Flying Program 2017

Trips & Outings 2017

The draft 2017 Flying program is set out below and we are all naturally hoping that this year will be one of perfect flying weather, for a change! Some of the dates are approximate and as soon as they are confirmed the definitive ones will be displayed on the website and circulated via Matronics. I would encourage anyone thinking of possibly joining a trip to contact the organiser early, even if you are not sure you are ready to commit. This allows the organiser to make plans which accommodate everyone’s views. As ever we very much welcome any European pilots joining in on these trips originating in the UK and will be delighted to add any trips that any of our European friends plan originating in their own countries. Ideas for future trips and offers to lead a trip are especially welcome.

August

6-8/8/17 Fly In Fohr Island, North Germany. Friendly small fly in with camping on the airfield (although hotels available). Recommended by our German Europa friends.

25-27/8/17 Texel Fly In. This annual fly in started as a Europa event but has grown to Become a Dutch mini LAA Rally. Very popular still with Europa pilots and deservedly so as it is well organised and a very friendly set up.

September

1-3/9/17 LAA Rally

9/9/17 Croft Farm Scout Flying Weekend. This is an annual event where volunteer pilots Fly scouts round a triangular course around the Malvern Hills. Europa pilots have been prominent in volunteering for this and we welcome anyone prepared to give up a day’s flying for what has always proved a highly rewarding experience – and you get some cracking pancakes thrown in!
