Ordering Parts from Europa Aircraft
At some time, most of us will need to order spares for our aircraft, from the Europa Aircraft division of the Swift Group. Request for the thingumajig that connects to the whatsit are unlikely to elicit a successful outcome. Listed below are the suggested steps that may elicit a favourable response.
1. If you know you are likely to need some parts (i.e. approaching Permit Inspection?), order in plenty of time, do not leave it until the last minute.
2. Familiarise yourself with the operating hours of Europa Aircraft. The Spares & Parts service is open on Monday and Tuesday from 9am - 4pm, an expedited service can be requested outside of these hours at a cost of £25 per order. A minimum order value of £50 (excluding postage) will apply to all orders.
3. Refer to the original build manual (available on the Club site at here, if you no longer have yours) to identify the part numbers you require. Failing this, refer to the Catalogue on the Europa Aircraft Parts page from their website . This document can be searched by clicking on the picture of the Catalogue, then keying Ctrl-F and entering a search term.
4. In the first instance, make your request in writing, using the part numbers found, to Europa Sales
5. If a response is not received after the next Monday or Tuesday, you can try calling them on +44 (0)1603 542525 or send them a Text or WhatsApp message on + 44 (0) 7776 901024
6. Still no luck ? - Why not try the Club WhatsApp Group to see if another Member has the part you want, and is willing to loan theirs to you until yours arrives. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words.
7. If all else fails, and you have not received a satisfactory response after 3 weeks, you can contact our Chairman , who will raise your concerns when he next has occasion to talk to Europa Aircraft.
We all know how frustrating it is to have our aircraft grounded whilst waiting for delivery of the necessary parts, but please remember a polite and respectful enquiry is more likely to get a positive response.
