ROTAX themselves do not necessarily recommend the installation of carb heating, and if you ask them for advice on an engine issue, and they learn that carb heat is installed they may tell you to remove it before reporting back with symptoms.
The UK LAA encourage the use of carb heating. Nevertheless the amateur national associations in different countries do not necessarily differentiate between a vapour return line and fuel return line, in the same way that some NAAs and Amateur build associations in the EU do.
