Your Committee has submitted an evidence‑led response to the CAA’s Electronic Conspicuity Mandate consultation. Our submission highlights several points raised by the Club’s EC Working Group, including:
• the economic impact on GA and the absence of a published cost‑benefit analysis
• the need for evidence supporting the proposed SIL ≥ 1 requirement
• clarification of the 140 kt boundary and treatment of brief, non‑operational exceedances
• alignment with EASA and arrangements for visiting aircraft
Members are strongly encouraged to submit their own views to the CAA. Individual responses carry weight, and the consultation remains open until 22 September.
